About Us:

The humble beginnings of AcousTech Live start with chief operator and owner, Franklin Nesmith, formally educated in the field of audio engineering at The Sheffield Institute for the Recording Arts in Phoenix, MD, his professional journey began as a house engineer in live entertainment venues throughout the Washington, DC area (including The Howard Theatre, The Fillmore Silver Spring, The Hamilton Live, etc.). After sharpening the craft through education and experience it wasn't long before Mr. Nesmith began freelancing and touring across the country with a wide range of audio-visual companies, artists, and bands—including Washington D.C. based supergroup DuPont Brass, Brooklyn-based genre bending band Phony Ppl, grammy award winning Rhiannon Giddens, and grammy award winning Lil’ Kim to name a few.

In 2023 AcousTech Live, LLC was formed with a vision of providing a polite, professional touch to live events and productions of every nature. Our credo "every show is important." has been applied to productions from national level festival stages to schools to churches to backyards and community spaces.
